Lisa Nicole Niven of North Vancouver, beloved wife, sister, and daughter, passed away on December 17/2023. Born July 17/1966, she was 57 at the time of her passing. Lisa was the daughter of Ron and Gloria Niven. She was predeceased by her father, Ron, and will be dearly missed by her husband Russ, mother Gloria, mother in-law Ann, brother James (Felicia), Aunt and Uncle Kathy and Kieran Normoyle, and cousin Kimberly.
Lisa attended Simon Fraser University and UBC where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree as well as a Masters degree in education. She met her husband Russ while attending Capilano College after her high school graduation in 1984. Their love for one another stood strong through 40 wonderful years together. Lisa was a lifelong learner who taught at Lynn Valley Elementary School. She was an avid reader, animal lover, and traveller, who thoroughly enjoyed the beach life in Maui whenever possible. She was most at home, however, with her family and friends in North Vancouver which also included many rescued cats, birds, and rabbits. Lisa will be dearly missed by all.
