Years later, Luis embarked on a transformative chapter, moving his wife and three children to Vancouver, Canada. This was not just a change of country, but a leap of faith—a testament to his enduring hope and commitment to his family’s well-being. In Canada, he built a life marked by resilience and perseverance.

Luis will be remembered for his generosity, his ability to bring people together, and by the stories he wrote about migration and resilience, which became a source of hope and meaning in his life. A funeral service will be held at First Memorial Funeral Service, located at 1505 Lillooet Road, North Vancouver, BC, V7J 2J1, Canada. The service is scheduled for Tuesday, December 30, 2025, from 2:00 pm to 3:30 pm.
