HARRIS - Marsha Ruth (née Andrews) October 17, 1935 - August 7, 2016. Born in Elgin, Illinois to Clifford and Laura Andrews joining her sister Janice. Mom is predeceased by her husband Dennis. She is survived by her children; Valerie, Victoria (Sile), Reg (Krista), Colin (Andi), numerous grandchildren, sister Jan, and her dog Sophie. After high school, Mom completed nursing school, after which she, her husband, Dennis, and newborn Valerie moved to Boston where they welcomed Victoria. In 1960, the family moved to the Lower Mainland, welcoming two newborns; Reg and Colin. After our father died in 1971, Mom went back to school attending SFU and UBC’s school of Social Work where she earned a Master’s Degree while raising the 4 children. Mom worked as a social worker and retired as a Clinical Administrator for Forensic Psychiatric Services. Mom made North Vancouver home where she enjoyed the community and walking her dogs.
