Bob passed peacefully away at the age of 81, with his loving family surrounding him. As a member of the Royal Vancouver Yacht Club for 67 years, he was a keen sailor. He participated in many Swiftsure International Yacht Races and enjoyed sailing on his and Mary Lou's Ouji. He later switched to power boating with his Secret Dreamer I and II. Many fond memories were made at Secret Cove and Buccaneer Bay over the course of his lifetime. Bob spent many winters at Whistler, skiing with his pals, acting as a Mountain Host, and culminating in carrying the Olympic Torch in 2010.
Bob and Mary Lou were avid travelers, and their adventures spanned the globe, enjoying many trips and cruises with family and close friends.
More than anything, Bob loved being around his family and wide circle of friends, who will remember him fondly, especially by all the stories he loved to tell.
