Serge is survived by his loving wife Katherine and his twin sons Kevin(Theresa)& Daniel, and sons Doug(Wendy), Stephen(Annette), Ken, and daughter Jennifer(Paul), plus four grandchildren David, Jacquline, Cole and Geneva.
Serge was born June 5th, 1930 on the family farm near Notre Dame de Lourdes, MB. He was one of eight sons and a daughter born to Pierre Paul Bazin and Annette Marie (nee Arcand). Serge moved west after leaving Manitoba to become a very successful mechanic, working at many different dealerships around Vancouver. It was Serge’s passion for the automobiles, especially Covette’s that made him highly sought after.
Since leaving Manitoba Serge has lived and raised his family in more-or-less the same home in North Vancouver. As the family grew so did the house, from a small 2 bedroom house to large 5 bedroom home, Serge did all the building and creating of the family home as it stands today.
Serge loved camping with the kids in their sporty little Boler camper, winter, summer or fall it was always a good time to camp. Serge had the ability to play almost any instrument, give him a few minutes to hear the tones of the instrument and then he’d be playing like a pro. Later in life Serge and Kay loved watching the horses, and enjoyed the odd trip to Vegas to try their hands with Lady Luck. Serge and Kay were inseparable, they did everything together, Serge will be dearly missed by his loving wife Kay and family.
The family would like to extend their appreciation to the staff and management at Evergreen House for their care and friendship to Serge over the past four years.
A private family memorial service will be held grave side at the North Vancouver Cemetery.
