Sharon Hanora O’Donnell, born on January 22, 1947, passed away on August 30, 2025 at the age of 78.
Sharon spent 25 years with CP Rail in payroll, where she was known for her dedication and reliability. After retiring, she devoted much of her life to her family. She cared for her father, James, in his later years with patience and devotion, and throughout her life was a steady and loving presence for her nieces and nephews.
To her family, she was “Aunty Sharon” — a pillar who gave freely of her time, her home, and her heart. Many of her nieces and nephews found a second home with her over the years, and she never hesitated to step in when she was needed. She will be remembered for her strong sense of family, her unwavering loyalty, and the comfort of knowing she was always there to turn to.
Sharon was predeceased by her parents, James (1996) and Lillian O’Donnell nee Mulcahy (1962) her brother Shaun O’Donnell (1976) and her nieces Penny (2008) and Patsy Day Munro (1967)
She is survived by her sisters Colleen and Donna O’Donnell; brother-in-law Allan Murray; her sister in-law Diane O’Donnell nee Bonneau, and her nieces and nephews: Starre O’Donnell, Michael Munro, (Nadine Therrien) Darleen Clemente (John), Peggy Munro, Kristine Murray (Tim Les), and Laura Murray
Sharon’s love and guidance also extended to her great-nieces and great-nephews: Michael, Austin, Jayden, Tanner, Tiffany, Connor, Kyler, Sydney, Joshua and Miles.
Her family will remember her as the quiet strength at the heart of their lives, and her legacy of devotion and care will live on in the generations she helped raise.
