With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Susan Laverock (nee Hill). Born in Northwood, England, Susan passed away peacefully at North Shore Hospice.
Susan’s adventurous spirit brought her to Canada at the age of 22 where she worked for the CBC in Toronto. Susan eventually moved to North Vancouver where she raised her three girls: Amy (Ken), Sarah (Kurt), and Caroline (Marek). As a devoted mother she made many sacrifices and provided unwavering love. She spent many years at North Shore Health working to support the community.
Susan was an avid tennis fan and loved to travel, play golf, garden, play bridge and spend time with her numerous and formidable groups of friends. The outpouring of kindness and support from these friends over the last few weeks of her life was very comforting to Susan and her family.
Susan cherished her 9 grandchildren Carissa, Tyler, Dylan, Jack, Ethan, Lukasz, Grace, Emma and Isabella. Susan leaves behind her sister, Patricia (Nic), cousin Pat, and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, we kindly request donations to Doctors Without Borders (MSF) or your local hospice. Our heartfelt thanks to the team at North Shore Hospice, Lions Gate Hospital and to Dr Pojhan for her enduring support.
