Ann was a greatly loved daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and GG. She loved her family well as she often stated, “I love you with All My Heart!” She served the Lord with gladness. She was honored to serve the patients and families as a volunteer at Decatur General Hospital for 30 plus years. She considered it her responsibility to welcome each one in a loving way as she guided them to the correct department with great kindness, friendliness and compassion in the hope of helping each person to feel comfortable, peaceful and loved in whatever situation that brought them to Decatur General Hospital. She never met a stranger and was a friend to all. Her greatest joys were spending time, alongside of her husband, Ray, with her 2 children’s families, her 6 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Her love has informed the life of so many people and called us to be a better likeness of ourselves. She greeted each day and everyone with her inviting, contagious smile. If you knew her, you loved her, and she loved you.
A Celebration of Life for Ann will be held Friday, March 22, 2024, at 3:30 PM at Trinity Presbyterian Church, 1301 The Townes, Tuscaloosa, Alabama 35406 with Pastor Bill Thetford officiating.
