Beverly Foster

NORTHPORT - Beverly Cooper Foster, age 39, of Northport, Ala., died August 27, 2017, at home. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 31, 2017, at Sunset Funeral Home with John Verciglio officiating and Sunset Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., at the funeral home.

She was preceded in death by her father, James Sanborn; and grandparents, Louis and Pat Cooper, James and Hesta Bonner, and Lucille and Clifton Foster.

Survivors include her husband, Matt Foster; daughters, Jordan and Marisol; half-sister, Nora Tate; step-sister, Dee Ward and Kylisha Mallard; half-brother, Tracey Sanborn; mother, Clair Cooper Sanborn; mother and father-in-law, Tommy and Melissa Foster; sister-in-law, Haley Melancon; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Beverly grew up in Brewton, Alabama and attended Brewton City Schools. She later transferred from TR Miller High School to Alabama School of Math and Science as a junior.

She was a member of First Presbyterian Church. She was active in and served as President of the Escambia County Sheriff's Office Explorer Post.

When she graduated from high school, she attended Jefferson Davis Community College and worked as a dispatcher and corrections officer with ECSD. From Jefferson Davis Community College she attended the University of Alabama where she was also employed with the University of Alabama Police Department as a dispatcher. While there she met the love of her life, best friend, and confidant, Matt.

They have two beautiful children, Jordan (11) and Marisol (9), who thought their mother hung the moon.

Beverly also worked for Hale County DHR where she investigated cases of child abuse and neglect. After leaving this job she took on the hardest job ever, being a full-time wife and mother. Beverly was a bright purple smile that will be missed by many.
