

He was preceded in death by parents; Arnold B. (Shorty) and Mary M. Tibbs, brothers; James A. Tibbs and Jerry B. Tibbs, sisters; Reba Joyce Tibbs and Dean Caswell.
He is survived by wife, Rita Thompson Tibbs, of 42 years, sons; Travis S. Tibbs (Bethany) and Tyler S. Tibbs (Leah), grandchildren; Timothy S. Tibbs, Charlie S. Tibbs, and Eleanor P. Tibbs. He is also survived by brothers; Terry Tibbs (Judy), Tommy Tibbs, Justin Tibbs (Vickie), sisters; Mary June Smith, Loretta Morgan (Bobby), Robbie Tibbs, Sara Fuller, and Sheila Tolbert along with a host of nieces and nephews.
He pastored the Sumiton, Shiloh, Ridgeville, Berry, and Moundville Churches of the Nazarene. He also served as Sunday School Superintendent at Steele and Union Hill Churches of the Nazarene and Associate Pastor at Union Hill and Holten Heights Churches of the Nazarene. Carlon was a member in good standing of Holten Heights Church of the Nazarene.
The viewing will be held on February 3 from 9:30am-10:30am at Sunset Funeral in Northport, AL with the funeral at 10:30am. Officiating the service are family friends, Rev. William Holley and Rev. Gary Tankersley.
The burial will follow at Union Hill Church of the Nazarene, 46894 US-231, Oneonta, AL.
