Claudine Perkins

Claudine H. Perkins, age 81, of Northport, died Jan. 31, 2012, at Morning Pointe. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. today at Bethel Presbyterian Church Cemetery with Rev. Tim Tindle officiating and Sunset Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing.

She was preceded in death by her husband, W.O. “Bill” Perkins; her parents, Claude F. and Olivia Hamner; her brother, James Edward Hamner; and her son-in-law, Robert W. Pollard.

Survivors include her daughter, Leah D. Pollard of Tuscaloosa; her son, W.O. “Billy” Perkins II and wife Amy of Northport; her grandchildren, Lance Perkins and Hannah Robertson (Anthony), both of Northport, and Brittany Pollard of Tuscaloosa; and her great-grandson, Ramsey Robertson of Northport.

Born April 8, 1930, Claudine grew up in Northport, Alabama. After the death of her husband Bill in 1983, Claudine took ownership of Perkins Cabinet Shop in Northport. She continued to manage the business until 2010.

Pallbearers will be Randy Clark, Wilbur Manderson, Buddy Manderson, Ricky Pugh, Dewayne Connell, and Preston Tatum.

Her family would like to express a heartfelt thank you to the staff of Morning Pointe Assisted Living for the excellent care and love they provided for our loved one.
