

Eloise Boothe Herron, age 70, of Moundville, died Dec. 26, 2011, at DCH Regional Medical Center, Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Moundville Baptist Church with Bro. Ed King and Jeff Kelly officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery in Moundville with Sunset Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. The body will lie in state one hour prior to services at the church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Herron; her father, Willie Pratt Boothe; and her mother, Maudie Boothe.
Survivors include her daughters, Donna Barger (PeeWee), Darlena Herron, Danna Herron (Fred McNeill) Debra McCray (Greg), and Doreena Mink (Shane); her son, Berry Herron (Carrie); her sister, Helen Boothe Ware; her brother, James Harold Boothe; and her grandchildren, Rex Adam Scott, Jonathan Herron, Nick Barger, Blake Herren, MaKayla and Mallory Herron, Kasey Barger, Austin and Savannah Angeloff, Olivia and Stenson McCray, and Ashley and Grace Mink.
Eloise was a loving mother, maw-maw, sister, and friend. She was a 1960 graduate of Tuscaloosa County High School and retired from DCH Regional Medical Center after 28 years of service. She raised six children whom she loved dearly and raised many other children whom she welcomed in her home with open arms. She had 11 grandchildren whom she cherished. She was always there for anyone anytime they needed her, and there will forever be a hole in our hearts without her.

Pallbearers will be Rex Adam Scott, Nick Barger, Robert Sullivan, Jonathan Herron, Blake Herren, and Eddie Herron.
Honorary pallbearers are Freida Burroughs, Greg Herron, Dr. Barry Newsome, Dr. Ford Simpson, CSICU nurses and staff, friends and neighbors from Moundville.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Heart Association , Hospice of West Alabama, or a charity of ones' choice.
