Faye Moseley

Faye was born on February 7, 1948, in Gordo, Alabama, as the fourth of seven children to Eunice and Roscoe Lee. She is survived by her children, Kim Dockery (Jeff) and Derril McCray; stepdaughter, Tara Cunningham Howell; grandchildren, Hope Colburn and Rebekah McCray; great-grandchildren, Kaitlynn Hatfield, Emma Hatfield, Summer Glass, and Bentley Miller; sisters, Mary Dunn, Nancy Newsom, and Lisa Frostick (Mark), all residing in Northport; brothers, Bill Lee (Jan) of Arizona; Mike Lee (Judy) of Northport and her dear friend, Pat Douglas.

Faye was preceded in death by her daughter, Tammy Cunningham; mother, Eunice Frostick; stepfather, Earl Frostick; father, Roscoe Lee; brothers, Robert Lee and Donald Wright; nephew, Steve Lee; and her husbands, James "Sonny" McCray and Leland Cunningham.

Faye's greatest joy throughout her fulfilling life has consistently been the time she spent with her family. While she will be profoundly missed, the memories we created together will remain in our hearts forever.

Faye possessed a vibrant spirit and approached life with enthusiasm. She found fulfillment in a variety of hobbies, including antique collecting and creating meaningful experiences with her grandchildren by actively supporting their sports activities. Her laughter and warmth brought a positive energy to every gathering, and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren held a special place in her heart. She cherished the moments spent with them, sharing wisdom and stories to ensure her legacy of love would endure across generations. Faye was also deeply engaged with her community and valued her connections with others. She had a remarkable talent for storytelling and a keen ability to find a connection to new acquaintances.

Faye's service will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, at Sunset Funeral Home in Northport, AL. Her brother, Mike Lee, will officiate. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial will take place at Yellow Creek Baptist Church Cemetery immediately following the service.

Serving as pallbearers are Larry Turner, Brad Miller, Jeremy Wendt, Ricky Banks, Bryan McElroy, Clint Cockrell, Mark Capps, Jamey Mims and Mark Mitchell.

In honoring Faye's memory, we celebrate a life well-lived, characterized by love, laughter, and cherished memories. She will always be remembered and deeply missed.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the UAB healthcare workers for the compassionate care provided to Faye during her time at the facility. The family would also like to include Steve Bridges as an Honorary Pallbearer, as he has given so much of his time and love to our family.
