Floy O. Sulser Pate, age 93, of Coker, died Oct. 19, 2012, at Hospice of West Alabama. Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tim Long and Rev. Greg Tucker officiating. Burial will follow in Coker Cemetery with Sunset Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy E. Pate; parents, Albert and Mary Sulser; brother, Eddie Sulser; sisters, Alice Johnson and Ellen Patton; son-in-law, Dwight Leonard; and daughter-in-law, Bonnie Baggett Pate.
Survivors include her daughters, Betty Cook (Butch), Violet Leonard, and Merle Leonard (Gene); sons, Roy G. Pate (Charlotte), Robert Pate (Steve), Carl Pate, and Travis (Kay); 17 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
Honorary pallbearers are members of Coker Cumberland Church, Coker community, caregivers and residents of Heritage Assisted Living, caregivers at Hospice, and Drs. Miller and Aldridge.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Coker Cumberland Church.
