Helen Frances Morgan

TUSCALOOSA | Helen (Frances) Morgan, age 79, of Tuscaloosa, died July 26, 2014, at DCH Regional Medical Center. Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 29, 2014, at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Charles Herron and Woody Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Sunset Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be Monday night from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Emiel and Irene Britain; and her brother, Jimmy Wayne Britain.

Survivors include her husband of 58 years, John Morgan; daughter Wanda Miller (David); son, John Edgar Morgan (Martha); sisters, Martha Sellers (Ralph) and Nita Hill; brother, Herbert Britain (Katherine); grandchildren, Leigh Garganus (Jason), Robbie Snow (Maghan), John Morgan (Cristina), Allen Miller (Tiffany), and Angela Lopacki (Daniel); great-grandchildren, Ashley Miller, Katie Cook, Hunter Lopacki, Riley Lopacki, and Braelyn Snow; and great-great-grandchild, Morgan Miller (Billy Bob Bugger). He kept a smile on her face and kept her going.

My mom was one of the most wonderful, loving, caring person that you could ever know. She was a wonderful cook, loved doing for others, and loved her some (buttermilk and cornbread). She always had a positive outlook during her battle with cancer. She fought a good fight, now, she's not fighting any more.

Pallbearers will be Daniel Lopacki, Allen Miller, Robbie Snow, Jack Stephens, Larry Posey, John Larimore, Burt Stephens, and Ron Prewitt.

Honorary pallbearers are Vi Roberts, Sheila Jordan, Kay Lee, her Home Health Care nurses, Dr. John Dubay and staff, special friend, Peggy McKnight, friends from Coker United Methodist Church, John, Joy, Olivia and Abbi Connelan.
