As a Navy wife, she travelled with Eugene for 20 years until his retirement from the Navy in 1974. After retirement, the family moved back to Tuscaloosa. Helen then worked at the Tuscaloosa County Courthouse for 15 years until she suffered a stroke in 1990.She loved the Lord, and passed down a legacy of faith to her children, as well as her grandchildren.
