Hey Mom, the school year wrapped up! The kids did well! What a year it’s been, tomorrow will be June 1, 2025! How have we gotten this far without you? We have had A LOT of bumps, oh how I wished we had you praying over each of us still!!! It’s been tough without you. At certain times things are going well, making advances in careers, family is working well together and then Wham! Back at square one. I want to talk with you, sit with you, be in your presence! I haven’t experienced a peace like when I was with you, a true rest because I was with the one that created me peace of mind. Mom, your love for me was so pure. I miss you and I love you!

Today marks 2yrs without you Mom. It really is quite astonishing at how much each of us have changed. Here is a little snippet of each of us. Dad he is now married. Jason/Amy started a new pool business. Ryan is newly married. Meagan leading young ppl in church. Kyle helping Jason run the biz. Garrett/Juli Skateboarding again & mission field. Brittany is engaged and pregnant with her first baby. Andy's girlfriend is so sweet. Jeremy/Christie expanded emergi pet. Braeden can drive and is over 6' Mackenzie is killing it in equestrian. Micah/Emily traveling nurse and have have moved out of AL. Valery/Micah thriving in real estate. Bug is 15 and amazing in Marching Band, Liam now sounds like a man and is 5'8", Langston is doing great in football and basketball. Chris crushing photography, Brinkley thriving in volleyball, Me I'm missing you. I am so thankful to be apart of the Alice Maxwell Team, they are quickly becoming family. God sees us through each day but man I miss you praying over each of us. I would love to kneel beside you and rest my head on your chest for a hug.

Merry Christmas Mom, it’s been an interesting Christmas Holiday. I have struggled to keep my focus on Jesus. My heart has missed you greatly, and I have been so very sad! Chris has been very kind to me, very supportive, kind with his words, and patient with letting g me work through this layer of grief. We all love you so very much, we have talked about you often with the kids, the kids really miss you! I wish I could sit with you and hold your hand, and rest my head on your chest and listen to your heart beat and your steady breath! Your comfort, strength, and peace I miss dearly!

Hi Mom, it’s October 14, 2024. A lot has happened this past month. Dad told all us kids he’s getting married. Let that sink in a minute. We all miss you, working through another layer or grief. I wasn’t quite sure I was ready to work through it just yet. You know me, I don’t like this stuff! Feelings, processing, talking through junk. I just would like to be with you. This fall semester has been really hard for me! I have had so many emotions that I don’t know what to do with. The twins and Brinkley has their first homecoming dance, Mackenzie is going to Sipsey Valley, Braeden is driving now and he is so so TALL! Liams voice has changed, Ryan got married she is beautiful, Andy is dating a girl I believe she lived in Florida, Kyle and Meagan were in town last week bc of a hurricane, Brittany Alexandria is so beautiful! All your precious grands look to be doing well! My heart breaks again and again missing you!

Hi Mom, 
Happy heavenly Birthday! One year in and I’m sure it’s been magnificent! That probably doesn’t begin to describe it! Brinkley and I were talking yesterday how it feels the your funeral was maybe three months ago but at the same time it feels like three lifetimes since we have been with you! We sure do miss you with us! Dad is doing what Dad does best, bringing Jesus into every single conversation with every single person he comes in contact with! He thinks of you in your heavenly splendor, restored, healed, your beautiful self!! How has an entire year gone by, how have we gone 12 month 52 weeks, how? Chris said a small silver lining of today is that we have now had all our firsts without you, and that moving forward may have a little less of a sting! He is right, but there are oh so many First that we will still want you here for the kids! We love you, we miss you, we will forever be grateful for your Love!!! Happy heavenly 1st birthday!

Merry Christmas Mom, 
I can’t believe it’s Christmas Day already! There’s so much that doesn’t feel right without you here. There was no Christmas story read, there was no elf passing out gifts, there was no showing Nana the gifts, no stocking or apple’s and oranges in the stockings, there was no goodie bags are for each individual kiddo, no blue countertop filled to over flowing with lock-n-locks of Christmas cookies we made together, no living room bursting at the seams to fit us all in one room, no TRADITIONS we kept. This year we our Christmas is on the 29th! My heart longs to sit beside you to help you open the wrapped gifts, it longs to hold your hand and have you stroke the back of my hand, I long to brush your hair and make you feel pretty,  I long to help the kids do a craft that you dreamt up for them to do! Christmas while being Christmas and a grateful heart for Christ, it really hurts this year, it isn’t whole without you here with us! Mom you were the best part of us, you were our center, all things revolved around being with you for our events! I wish I could talk with you tonight, to tell you all the things good and bad going on in my life! I could really use your wisdom in life right now! I love you!! Merry Christmas!

It’s December we are 12 days from Christmas!!! Haha the song can now officially be sung! We are all feeling missing you in our own way! We are planning cookie making with the kids on the 23rd we are trying to keep traditions you loved alive and thriving! You were the best picnic director there ever was! I miss you so much it hurts! Brinkley and I are coming to spruce up your flowers tomorrow! Poinsettias and white pompoms and pretty red berries, you would love them. It’s been tough this year, I keep trying though, I keep trying, I know I can do this. You raised us to be strong, but you honestly were our strength! I love you Mom!

Mom it’s September 1st. I can’t believe we have spent over half a year without you! So many good things have happened and so many hard things too. We have seen God working in Amy’s life in her labs, Dad has his teeth almost all the way fixed, I know you stayed on him about that, he has finally checked that box for you, he and valery are working on this beautiful project at her home, Mom, I loved how you always-ed shooed him out the door to do a project with us kids. Mackenzie and Christie picked up a new horse today, you would think he is so beautiful!  Addison had her first Friday night marching band half time show, she was so adorable pumping up the crowd with that tuba!! You would be so proud of her, she misses you so much it hurts my heart! You were her person, heck you were  each one of  us person! You made each of us feel stronger, you made us feel like we mattered, like we were valuable! I miss that, and miss feeling like I hung the stars in your eyes! I wish we were with you, I don’t wish you back, just wish we were with you!! You are loved so deeply Mom!! 

Mom, the kids have started Middle School 
8-9-23. They are doing well! It’s not easy without you! They all at their own times want to share something with you, or sit with you to be in your presence is greatly missed! There was such peace knowing you had all our answers. Haha 😆 I’m so grateful for our time together!!! You gave such strength to each of us!!! I love you, I miss you! 

Mom, 
I miss you, a whole lot. I just put fresh clean sheets on the bed and tucked them in Oh so tightly just like you showed me, teaching me that’s how Dad had to do it when he was in the Army.  Brinkley told me today she bought you some flowers for your site. Mom thank you for loving her so well! 5 years of knowing her was not long enough, but you loved her so purely! Mom your words are haunting me, when you looked up at me and said Vic I saw her. When I asked you who you told me, “I saw your daughter, she has long curly blonde hair.” I asked you if I was my baby I lost you said, “No” I asked if it was Brinkley? You said, “No.” Mom, I have yearned for a child of my own, and nothing.  Mom, I have prayed and laid down my will, and picked it back up, and laid it back down again. If you wanted to give Jesus a little nudge I wouldn’t mind. My heart longs to sit with you again, I miss your presence, I miss your comfort, l long to feel your soft hands stroking the back of my hand. I love you Mom!  Oh Dad took the grandkids bowling today 6/17/23 he hasn’t been bowling in a decade or more! Dad is such a great PapaG he is loving your grand babies so well! Taking them for ice cream all the time just like you had him do while you were here! 

Mom, I miss you!! It’s June now and I wish more than ever you were here! So many milestones the kids have accomplished in these 5months!! You would be so proud!! I hate most that as they grow and mature your love isn’t being poured into them! You were the best at loving them unconditionally!!! Liam, Langston, and Brinkley all graduated 5th grade all three received honors!! Mackenzie is going to be a complete power house in volleyball, coaching her is such a joy, she reminds me so much of me, and I think of all the ways you encouraged me while I played  and tell her you would be so proud!!! I tell all the grandkids you would be so proud!! Dad is doing well, loving people and sharing Jesus!! The pain of missing you hits is at silly times, like we were all eating for Memorial Day at Valery’s and the Coleslaw just didn’t taste right, Dad and I cried so hard together! You were always a Chef, you were the director to our symphony!!! I love you and MOM I can wait until we are back together! Celebrating our Lord Together!!! 

Dear Gary and Family,

Our deepest sympathy on your loss of a beautiful wife, mother and grandmother. We have so many wonderful memories of our teen years at Luther League, plays and hanging out. Jacki is now healed and resting in the arms of her precious Savior. May God’s peace comfort you.

Our sister Jacklin Kay Wendt has transitioned to a better place, free from pain, cares and troubles.  She is resting in the arms of  Jesus, our Redeemer and Friend. 
Though I never met her before, but  her children Garrett, Jason and Micah are my business associates and, so to speak, are like my brothers from another continent. 
She has made our common world a better place by leaving behind children and grand children who continue to make our world a better place for mankind. 
May her precious soul continue to enjoy blissful repose.

If you were to look up Grace and Humor in the dictionary, you would find a picture of Jacki.  She opened her heart and her home to so many, some of which she is speaking with right now and the rest of us have to wait a little while longer.  I cannot imagine the crown of life waiting for her!

In Gary and Jacki's home you could find warmth, good food, laughter and a genuine care.  I think that is what stands out most of all.

Jacki, you are my true friend, thank you for everything you invested in my life - it is different because of you.  There are many that are missing you (I am one), but WOW what a party we will have.

Please accept my deepest sympathy in the passing of Jacklin She was a gracious loving woman in life to all who crossed her path. It was a privilege to have known her. She raised a lovely family. I know she will be missed by all she loved. 

Jackie was such an amazing Christian woman.  I loved being able to sit and talk to her.  It was always a blessing to spend time with her.  She and Gary were our small group leaders for several years and we spent many happy hours in their home.  It is a blessing to know she is pain free now.   

Mrs. Jackie was the mother of my closest, longest and dearest of friends.  Many years was spent in her home with her children. If I could say anything about Miss Jackie, is she carried herself with dignity, grace, love and warmth.  She always had a smile ready for you.  I will always remember Miss Jackie in her sunny place near the window, with her faithful husband near and a Bible between them.  They were the epitome of what it means to be a godly husband and wife. The Bible talks about in Proverbs 31 Whoever can find a virtuous woman, her price is far above rubies.   I believe Miss Jackie was a Proverbs 31 woman.

Nana was an amazing grandmother. I was especially blessed to have lived with her in 2021. I moved from NY with a broken spirit, and she was my comfort and counselor every day. A part of me wishes I was more of a help to her when I was here, but the Lord corrected me in saying that rather than being there for her, God sent me there for her to help me.  I’m sad she cannot be at my wedding, or hold my children as she said she wanted to help raise my babies, but I know she’s in a much better place and we will all be together again for eternity. Thank you Jesus for giving me Jackie as one of my amazing grandmas!  You have taught me grace, thoughtfulness, and thankfulness  in the face of overwhelming circumstances. 

This was Jackie at 16 years old in the Blue jacket, I believe we were going to Church on Easter Sunday in Sanborn, NY.  Always enjoyed time with everyone there. I always thought of her as a cousin, our parents were good friends and we always spent a lot of time together. God Bless you Gary and your family.

Gary and family, I’m so sorry to hear about Jackie, her and I had so much fun together as kids growing up in Niagara Falls. God Bless you and your family 

So thankful, you and I got to walk the walk with Jesus together from the very beginning hand-in-hand. January 26, 1976 …..    Praise the Lord.
