Bro. Donald Sanders and Bro. Greg Strickland officiating.
Janice was born on July 28, 1946. She married the love of her life, David, on June 26, 1965 and together they had two daughters and five grandchildren. Janice was a wonderful wife, mother, and Nanna. She was absolutely adored by her family. She dearly loved her grandchildren and they loved her. She took the grandchildren to school, picked them up from school, and took them to appointments and practices. She never wanted to miss a day of taking care of her grandchildren.
Janice was such a sweet, precious lady with a heartwarming smile. She loved Jesus so much and taught her family to always put Jesus first, have a personal relationship with Him, and surrender your whole life to Him. We are going to miss her so much!! The family is relieved that she is no longer sick, but sorrowful that they can no longer spend time with her here. She had been sick for a few years and lost the ability to speak. But, now she can talk, sing, play the piano, and Praise the Lord again!
Family members that preceded her death are her parents Avery and Margaret Frances Burroughs. Left to treasure her memory and look forward to seeing her again are her husband, David Sanders, daughters Laresa Day (Christopher) and LaDonna Pate (Kelton), and grandchildren John David Day, Gavin Day, Maleah Day, Andrew Pate, and Katelyne Pate; sisters-in-law including Aileen Windham, Nancy Sapp, and Frances Threadgill; brothers-in-law Nathan Sanders, Jerry Sanders; and many nieces and nephews.
Special thanks to Frances Threadgill, sister-in-law, who loved and helped take excellent care of Janice. Special thanks to Sharron Sanders, her best friend. Also special thanks to Ketina Freeman who was Janice’s beautician for many years. She loved going to the beauty shop and spending time with Ketina and other ladies in the beauty shop. Special thanks also to Laclethra Jones, Cornerstone caregiver, who helped take care of Janice toward the end of life.
