

Harold graduated from Tuscaloosa County High School in 1962. He began his retail career as a stock boy at the age of 16, which motivated him to establish his own business—Home Accents— with locations in Northport and Pelham, Alabama.
He will always be remembered as a loving, supportive husband, father, and grandfather. He will be remembered by his impact on others such as being a dedicated employee, businessman, and mentor to others. His legacy will last a lifetime, by all whom he has touched.
Preceding him in death were his parents: Hazel Canterberry and Jessie C. Pearson.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Betty Sue Pearson; his siblings: Mary (Roy), Jan (Jim), Polly (Dave), Glenn, Delbert, Jill (Jim), Garry (Jean), Sandra; his three children: Harold Pearson Jr. (Kim), David Pearson (Joy), Lisa Stubbs (Stuart); his grandchildren: Lacey Pearson, Hunter Pearson (Caroline), Mallory Stubbs (Tyler), Clayton Stubbs (Kendall), Hailey Pearson; his great-grandchildren: Kaylin, Dustin, Kayli, Grayson, Cayde, River, Ella Grace, and many nieces and nephews.
A visitation for Jessie will be held at Sunset Funeral Home on Thursday, January 29, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm followed by a Celebration of Life at 1:00 pm with Bro. Roy Spears and Bro. Delbert Canterberry officiating. Burial will take place in Sunset Memorial Park.
Pallbearers are Mike Chaisson, Tyler Couch, Carey Kelley, Jeffery McMahan, Hunter Pearson, and Clayton Stubbs.
