Joel “Moose” Jerry Roberts, age 78, passed away Saturday, October 7, 2017 at DCH Regional Medical Center. Graveside service will be at 11:00 AM Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at Coker Cemetery with Sunset Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Ada Mae Roberts and granddaughter, Mila Leighanna Oswalt.
He is survived by his wife, Pamela Roberts of Tuscaloosa; daughter, Michelle Dunning of Hoover; sons, Chris Oswalt of Birmingham and Jeremy Oswalt of Birmingham; grandchildren, Lauren Dunning Claybon, Karsyn Oswalt, Garrett Oswalt, and Kinsley Oswalt and great grandson, Malcolm Joel Claybon.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. He loved visiting with family and friends, traveling and his cows.
Pallbearers will be Bill Mayo, David Hall, Andy Oswalt, Gary Barr, Bee Morrison, Anthony Turner and Tim Roberts.
Honorary pallbearers will be Bob Kilgore, Tommy Watts, Waylon Blair, James Wilson, Don R. Pate, Tim Roberts and Sheri Manderson
In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to Coker Cumberland Presbyterian 14705 Romulus Rd Coker, AL 35452.
