Juanita Terry Dyer

Services will be held at Sunset Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at 11:00 am with visitation from 10:00 am-11:00 am.

She is preceded in death by parents, Allin and Mittie Kizzire; husbands, Verdo Terry and Ralph Dyer; brothers, Y.C., Travis and Edward Kizzire; sister, Martha Cook, and son-in-law, Dudley Ballard.

Juanita is survived by daughter, Jackie Ballard of Fosters and son Johnny Terry (Teri) of Northport; 7 grandchildren, Chris Ballard of Fosters, Kathryn Shaner (Jeff) of Loganville, GA, Ian Terry of Northport, Kayla MacNiel (Stephen) of Birmingham and Stuart Terry (Sarah) of Northport and 2 great-grandchildren, Phillip Shaner of Luke AFB, Arizona and Wyatt Shaner of Augusta, GA; Sisters, Jean Talbert of Northport, Gail Mays of Carbon Hill and Dorothy Perrine (Jeff) of Peoria, IL; Stepchildren include Pam Bridges (Phil), Jackie Channell, Cliff and Danny Dyer.

She loved sports, country and gospel music, she was a longtime member of various bowling leagues, cheered for Alabama football and Atlanta Braves. But most of all, she loved God, family and her church.

Pallbearers will be: Chris Ballard, Stuart and Ian Terry, Stephen MacNiel, Jeff and Wyatt Shaner. Honorary pallbearers: Friends from Presbyterian Apts, Unity Baptist Church and Northwood Hills Baptist Church.
