Kenneth D. Kennedy, age 68, of Northport, died Oct. 21, 2011, at DCH Regional Medical Center. Services will be 1 p.m. Monday at Sunset Memorial Park with Rev. George Shaddix officiating and Sunset Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
He was preceded in death by his son, Michael Kennedy, and his parents, Robert and Iris Kennedy.
Survivors include his wife, Sandra Dunn Kennedy; his daughter, Kendra Roberts (Kevin); his sisters, Janet Dominick and Peggy Kennedy; his brothers, Doug Kennedy (Royce) and Jimmy Joe Kennedy (Joyce Ann); and his grandchildren, Alex Becker, Zoe Kennedy, and Trevin Kennedy.
Ken was a devoted husband to Sandra, his wife of 50 years, and a loving father and Papa. His brother Doug was his closest companion.
Pallbearers will be Gary Oswalt, Van Thompson, Dudley Williams, Kevin Roberts, Wayne Burkhalter, and Wayne Evans.
