Linda Reece Barger

GORDO | Linda Reece Barger, age 65, of Gordo, received her ultimate healing on August 24, 2014, at DCH Regional Medical Center. Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 27, 2014, at Sunset Funeral Home with Pastor Randy Fuller and Pastor Hayes Moss officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Sunset Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider directing. Visitation will be Tuesday, August 26, 2014 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

She was preceded in death by her parents, W.H. "Dub" Reece and Kathleen; sister, Diane Wilson; brother, Billy Gene Day; and nephew, Brad Wilson.

Survivors include husband, Harold D. Barger of Gordo; daughter, Melissa Barger Adams (Rusty) of Gordo; son, Dwight Barger (LaNita) of Buhl; sisters, Kathy Reece McAteer (David) of Northport; brothers, Elton Reece (Joy) of Selma, Larry Reece (Myndel) of Elrod, J.C. Day (Betty) of Centreville, and David Day (Carrollton); and grandchildren, Riley, Reece, Ryan Barger and Emily and Brent Adams.

Linda was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. She had a strong love for her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and was never ashamed to let it be known. She had a love for prayer and made an impact on many lives for Christ. She never met a stranger and her laughter and smile were contagious. She will be greatly missed but Linda is now rejoicing at the feet of her Savior.

Pallbearers will be Bryne Wilson, Shaun McAteer, Jeremiah Reece, Todd Reece, Charlie Beck, and Drew Thomas Patterson.

Honorary pallbearers are special caregiver Vivian Price, Bill Wilson, New Beginning Family Worship Center, Cardiology Consultants, P.C., and Dr. Berry, DaVita, Amedysis, Aliceville Manor Nursing Home, Family Practice Center of Gordo, Dr. Corder and staff at TSICU 2nd Floor.
