

Louise Robertson Latimer, 95, died November 19, 2011, at Hospice of West Alabama. Service will be today at 3:30 p.m. with visitation 30 minutes prior at Sunset Funeral Home. Rev. Dan Kilgore will conduct the service.
Mrs. Latimer was preceded in death by her parents, Ella and John Robertson; brothers, Otis, Harold and Robert Robertson; sisters, Flora Grigsby and Nell Wright; and her beloved husband, Forney C. Latimer.
She is survived by her niece, Maurene Smith, Tuscaloosa; great-nieces, Vicki Goldsmith, Des Moines, Iowa, Ann McAfee (Larry), Faye Watts (Mike), Northport, Lee Taylor (Jeff), Birmingham, Sharon Robertson, Elaine Smith, Brenda Galliards, Karen Beck; great-nephews, Jim Keck, Newark, Ohio, Jeff Beck, Hank Robertson; great-great-nieces, Rachel Goldsmith, Jocelyn Goldsmith, Melissa Davis (Brian), Lacey Watts, Taylor Watts, Ellen Taylor, Krista Keck, Michelle Keck; great-great-nephew, Mark Crain (Allison), Alabaster; great-great-great-nieces, Brittney Davis, Brianna Davis, Julia Clardy, Mariah Keck, Tayleigh Keck; great-great-great-nephews, David Clardy, Mason Crain, Logan Crain, Adam Goldsmith; sister-in-law, Grace Robertson; special friends, Mamie Jimerson and Loretta Taylor.
Louise was born in Gadsden, where she lived most of her life, before moving to Tuscaloosa with her husband in 1998 to be closer to family. While in Gadsden she worked at Red Leach Insurance where she was the personal assistant and office manager to Mr. Leach. She was active in the BPW organization and Alabama City Methodist Church. Upon their retirement, Louise and Forney loved to travel in their RV, spending many winters in South Texas and Florida. In Tuscaloosa, she was an active member of Trinity United Methodist Church, loved spending time with her family, especially her niece, Maurene Smith, and enjoyed attending UA gymnastics meets until the age of 93!
Pallbearers will be Brian Davis, Mark Crain, Larry McAfee, Jeff Taylor, Mike Watts and Bill Watts.
