Martha Hall

Martha Faye Hall passed away on March 3, 2026, at the age of 79. She was born on March 16, 1946, and was a resident of Northport, AL. Services will be held Tuesday March 10, 2026 at 11am at Sunset Funeral Home with visitation 1 hour prior to service.

Faye was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Nora Lee Sanders, and by her daughter, Jonnie Fay Leonard.

She is survived by her four children: W. Harold Hall Jr. (Lori), Joy Brannon (Dennis), Greg Hall (Amber), and Angel Driver (Phillip), all residing in Tuscaloosa County.

Faye’s grandkids and bonus grandkids include Kim Smith (Travis), Jamie Mims (Bobby), Austin Jones, Andrew Jones, Braxton Hall, Bryant Hall (Jenna), Zander Hall, Chloe Green (Andre), Lauren Phelps (Taylor), Michele Eakes (Blake), Madison Mansfield-Greene, Hunter Greene, Trae Driver, Abigail Powell (Joseph), Samantha Driver, and DJ Brannon. She had 13 great-grandchildren.

Faye retired from The University of Alabama in 2001 and was a pastor’s wife. She spent her days taking care of and loving her grandchildren.

Three days before her passing, her husband, William Harold Hall Sr.(Peter), passed away.

Peter and Faye were married on May 3, 1974. Their love for one another was something from a fairy tale so it was fitting for them to leave this world together. They never wanted to be apart. Dad never failed to tell “his pretty girl” how much he loved her, and Mom loved Dad with her whole heart.

They loved their family with everything they had.

They were devout Christians, devoted to their ministry and to sharing the word of God. They were always willing to help anyone in need.

There are not enough words to describe how wonderful they truly were. They were loved by everyone who knew them and will be missed dearly.
