Ms. Myrtle Lee Montgomery, age 79, was born December 19, 1937. She went to be with the Lord April 30, 2017 at Glen Haven Nursing Home. Celebration of Life will be 1:00PM Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at Sunset Funeral Home with Rev. Gilbert Ray Yeatman and Rev. Albert Lyles officiating. Burial will be at Tabernacle Baptist Church Cemetery with Sunset Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
She is preceded in death by her father, David C. Montgomery; mother, Estelle Highsaw Montgomery; brothers, Festus F., Roy C., Fred E.; sisters, Flo Rogers and Bessie L. Smith.
She is survived by her only beloved sister, Ruby Yeatman (Rev. Gilbert Ray); nephews, Lester Leonard (Barbara) and Gene Leonard and niece, Faye Grammer; sister-in-law, Louise Montgomery and many other nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews and friends.
Ms. Myrtle was a longtime member of Piney Grove Baptist Church and was loved by all.
She came to feel at home at Glen Haven Nursing Home but now found a much better home with Jesus.
