NORTHPORT – Norma Fay Jackson, age 79, of Northport, died March 19, 2016, at home. Service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 23, 2016, at Sunset Funeral Home with Pastor Tim Pippins officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Sunset Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be today, March 22, 2016, from 6 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home.She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Jackson; parents, Will and Iola Smith; and brother, Leon Smith.Survivors include her daughters, Shelia Shotts (Don) of Hamilton, Ala. and Mary Boyle (Robert) of Northport, Ala.; sons, Donald E. Jackson (Denise) of Northport, Ala. and David Larry Jackson of Northport, Ala.; sisters, JoAnn Raymick (Dorsey) of Pine Bluff, Ark. and Sue Burke of Northport, Ala.; brother, Jerry Smith (Clara) of Northport, Ala.; grandchildren, Crystal Cash (Chris), Lesley Shotts and Samantha Shotts; and great-grandchildren, Callie Cash and Cade Cash.Norma was a loving wife, caring mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend. She loved cooking for her family and friends. She was always thinking about others. She loved traveling to visit her family and sightseeing. She loved planting flowers in the spring. Norma always tried to make her family and friends feel special and encourage them to keep on going. She was always praying for her children and asked God to bless them. She left this world in peace and praying for God to take care of her children.Pallbearers will be Bob Burke, Mac Burke, Byron Waid, Keith Waid, Wayne Pinion and Troy Smith.
