Patrick M. Lancaster

ELROD | Patrick Martin Lancaster, age 71, of Elrod, died February 6, 2014, at Hospice of West Alabama. Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, February 9, 2014, at Corinth Baptist Church with Glenn Kennedy officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Sunset Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. The body will lie in state one hour prior to services at the church.He was preceded in death by his parents, Martin and Ruth Lancaster; and brother, Michael E. Lancaster.Survivors include his wife, Sheila Lancaster of Elrod; daughters, Jacqueline Lancaster Waldrop (Chad) of Northport and Patricia Lancaster Selman (Bobby Joe) of Northport; sisters, Sharon Lancaster and Becky Lancaster; brother, David Lancaster (Marty); grandchildren, Ella Grace Waldrop (EG), Ali Selman and Lacey Selman; and his dog Sally.Patrick was owner of Patrick Lancaster Trucking and loved motor sports.Pallbearers will be Lewis Butler, Jonathan Beavers, Josh Booth, Colin Barrett, Michael Lancaster Jr., and Anthony Webb.Honorary pallbearers are Joe and Beth Brown, Joe and Rita Herring, Dr. Sunil Chandra, Joanna Bundrum CRNP, Dr. Sakina Kamal, Ruth and Charlotte Duffy, Dale Rowland, Jan Boothe, friends and neighbors of the Elrod community, employees of DCH 6 North and ACCU, and Hospice of West Alabama.In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Hospice of West Alabama.Condolences may be offered at www.sunsetbrown-funeral.com.
