Patsy L. Champion

NORTHPORT | Patsy L. Champion, age 71, of Northport, died November 23, 2014, at Hospice of West Alabama. Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 26, 2014, at Sunset Funeral Home with Pastor Alan Roggli officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Sunset Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Carol White and her father, James East.

Survivors include her husband, Wayne Champion; daughter, Patti Lann (Tracy); and son, Patrick Champion, all of Northport; and grandchildren, Riley, Colin and Evan Champion and Paxton and Payton Lann.

Patsy was a warm hearted, compassionate person, who lived and walked by faith through Christ Jesus. For over 52 years, she dedicated her life to her husband and children. As time progressed she became a grandmother and gave all she could to the wellbeing of her grandchildren. In return, she received the love and affection from them. Earlier in her life, the outdoors was a passion that she enjoyed and was well accomplished. Her laughter, warm heart, and smile will be missed by all who knew her.

Pallbearers will be Patrick Champion, Tracy Lann, Craig Hubbard, John Rahn, Riley Champion, Gary Cooper, Michael Kelley, and Miles Cooper.

Honorary pallbearers are Hospice of West Alabama, 2nd floor nursing staff of DCH Regional Medical Center and Colin and Evan Champion.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Hospice of West Alabama.
