Patsy Elmore Skelton of Elrod, age 69, died Sept. 21, 2011, at Hospice of West Alabama. Services will be 3 p.m. today at Corinth Baptist Church with Bro. Morgan (Mack) Spiller officiating. Burial will follow in Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery with Sunset Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Randall Earl Elmore; her daughter, Teonia Lynn Browning; and her father, C.L. Weeks.
Survivors include her children, Tony Elmore (Cathy) and Missey Shirley (Lloyd); her grandchildren, Ashley Elmore (Brad McFerrin), Cody Browning, Challise Shirley, Hunter Browning, and Rocky Elmore; her mother, Johnie Weeks; and her sisters, Nancy Porter, Helen Hutchins, and Ann Sanford.
Patsy had a huge heart and loved unconditionally. She touched the lives of many. Her greatest joy in life was her family. She will be greatly missed.
Pallbearers will be Cody Browning, Hunter Browning, Rocky Elmore, Brad McFerrin, and Dale Hogue.
Honorary pallbearers are the staff and nurses of Hospice of West Alabama, Dr. Larry Skelton and staff, staff and doctors of Tuscaloosa Lung and Sleep Consultants, and friends and neighbors of the Elrod community.
