Northport, AL. Perry Neil Jones, 64, was born on March 19, 1957 in Tuscaloosa County, AL. He was the oldest of five boys of Emmett and Gaynell Jones. Perry passed away Tuesday, June 29 doing what he loved, working in the woods with his son, Bebo.
Perry leaves his three children; Joshua Scott Jones, Katie Leighanne Jones (fiancé Jacob Elmore), and Jesse Hunter Jones and two grandsons (Hunter and Lane) and their mother Patricia B. Jones. He leaves three brothers, Will, (Jennifer ) Gary (Rena) and Matthew (Cathy) along with his mother, Gaynell Jones Williams and her sister, his Aunt Tinsey and one great Uncle, Arnold Gibbs (Margie). He also had numerous nieces and nephews. Preceding Perry in death was his Father, Emmett (Toady) Jones, and his brother Emmett, Jr.
Perry was an amazing friend, loving father, and son. Perry loved to cut up and laugh. He loved a good joke but was serious when it came to his work. He graduated from Tuscaloosa County High and remained close with his many friends he went to school with from elementary school through graduation. He worked for many years in the Forestry Industry and was a hard worker. He was a great Christian leader and an inspiration to many. He loved his bike riding buddies and was very health conscientious. He will be missed by so many but he left a legacy as well. We will all miss his scriptures he sent early each morning that he was diligent to send out. He loved to talk about Jesus and for that we all know we will see him again, without a doubt.
