Randy Skelton

Lowell Randall "Randy" Skelton, age 63, of Boligee, Ala., passed away December 22, 2018 at Hospice of West Alabama. Services will be 3 p.m. Wednesday, December 26, 2018, at Sunset Funeral Home with Sandra Burroughs officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Sunset Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be 1-3 p.m. Wednesday, December 26, 2018, at the funeral home.

He was preceded in death by his father, Lowell Skelton; mother Mary Alice Skelton, brother, Warren Skelton; and daughter, Selina Beth Skelton.

Survivors include his daughters, Misty Leigh Butler (James) and Leslie Skelton Kynard (Matt); sisters, Ginger Bigham and Sylvia Sewell; grandchildren, Brylan Skelton, Mary Beth Butler, Annie Leigh Butler, Jamie Alyce Butler and Zach Butler.

Randy was a fun-loving, always joking, daddy, Papa, and friend. He enjoyed fishing, bowling, NASCAR races and Alabama football. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends. If there was a story to be stretched, he was the best at stretching them. He was a hard worker. If something was broken, he could fix it. Nothing was too big or small if he could help someone out, he was always doing so.

Pallbearers will be Matt Kynard, James Butler, Cameron Sewell, Drew Sewell, Coty Sanford and Brylan Skelton.

Honorary pallbearers are Hospice of West Alabama, Dr. Pamela Hughes and staff at Lewis and Faye Manderson Cancer Center, and friends at the river.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of West Alabama or American Cancer Society.
