Stephen O Lamkin

Stephen O'neil Lamkin, age 48, passed away Sunday, October 8, 2017 at UAB Hospital in Birmingham. A Celebration of Life will be at 12:00 PM Wednesday, October, 11 2017 at First Baptist Church in Tuscaloosa in the Sanctuary with Bro. Gil McKee officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Sunset Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider directing the services. Visitation will be from 9:00am to 12:00pm at First Baptist Church in the Sanctuary.

He is preceded in death by his sister, Kim Lamkin; grandparents, Burl and Allie Lamkin and Mildred and Buck Newsom.

He is survived by his wife, Donna Lamkin; daughter, Mary Ashton Lamkin; sons, Jackson O'neil Lamkin and Stephen Colby Lamkin; parents, Gene and Sharon Lamkin and a host of loving family, friends and co-workers.

Steve Lamkin was a devoted son, husband, father and friend. His only greater love than his family was his love for the Lord. He will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. We know that heavens choir is rejoicing – a good and faithful servant has come home.

Pallbearers will be Jackson Lamkin, Jason Ward, Jason Roberts, Chad Allen, Wayne Leonard, Emil Turner, Larry Murphy and Ben Colburn.

Honorary pallbearers will be Region C SBI Agents of Tuscaloosa County, Alabama Forresty Commision, SICU Staff at UAB, Stephen Colby Lamkin, John Settle and Choir and staff of First Baptist Church in Tuscaloosa.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to First Baptist Church 721 Greensboro Ave, Tuscaloosa, AL 35401
