She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Wallace Sexton Sr.; son, Edward Long; brothers, Troy, Van (Beak) and Macon Henry; sisters, Vera Davis, Jennie Long, Wedell Ballard and Clara Wicker.
She is survived by her children, Joyce Beck Tierce (Joe) of Tuscaloosa, Ala., Carolyn Snider Merritt (Cecil) of Muscle Shoals, Ala. and Wallace (Wally) Sexton, Jr. of Santa Claus, Ind.; grandchildren, Mona Snider Maddox, Ginger Snider Merritt, Martye Beck, Andrea Beck Mozena, Jason Brock and Elliot Long; ten great-grandchildren; one sister, Alice Hollingsworth of Forest, Miss.; two brothers, Otis Henry of Pulaski Miss. and Denson Henry of Bryan, Texas, and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, October 23, 2015, at Sunset Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider. Visitation will be one hour prior to service at the funeral home.
