Wilmer was a loving husband and daddy; he was a humble southern gentleman who was a hard worker. He didn't care for fancy things yet he loved his pick up work truck & his coffee. In his younger days Wilmer loved fishing with his children or his brothers in a flat bottom boat in the swamp. It didn't matter about race or color because He knew what was right. He was a devoted husband to his lovely wife of 58 years and he loved to hear his sweet petunia read the King James Bible every night and have prayer. Dad knew the bible and he held the bible in his own heart to keep him going 90 and 1/2 years. He was a godly man that I looked up to! He was devoted to his family and didn't tolerate any strife and to us no was not an answer to give him. The grand kids and Miss Joy his precious great-granddaughter made his eyes sparkle. He will truly be missed!
