In 1956, Dolores came to California, beginning a new chapter in her life with courage, determination, and hope. She worked in different places while continuing her education, always believing in the importance of learning and creating a better future.
In 1980, she began working as an elementary school teacher. Her love for education went beyond the classroom. In the evenings, she taught English to adults, generously sharing her knowledge and helping others build better lives. Through her work and dedication, she touched the lives of many people and left a lasting impression on those she taught.
In 1963, Dolores was blessed with her only son, Jose Luis Damian, whom she loved with all her heart. He was a great source of joy and pride throughout her life.
Dolores was a strong, loving, and hardworking woman who faced life’s challenges with courage and perseverance. She gave so much of herself to her family and to others. Her kindness, strength, and loving spirit will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
She will be lovingly remembered by her son and daughter-in-law, five grandchildren, her brother and sisters, and her many nephews and nieces.
Dolores peacefully went to be with our Lord Jesus Christ on Thursday, August 20, 2026, at 5:30 a.m., in the comfort of her home, surrounded by her family.
Although our hearts are filled with sadness, we are grateful for the life she lived, the love she gave, and the beautiful memories she leaves behind.
Her journey on earth has come to an end, but her love will continue to live in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
May she rest peacefully in the loving arms of our Lord Jesus Christ. Until we meet again, you will always be loved, remembered, and missed.
“Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.”
— Matthew 5:4
“A Celebration of Life” will be held at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 18400 Kinzie Street, Northridge, California, on September 11, 2026, at 11:30 am.
