Frederick "Bud" Parker, 86, passed away unexpectedly at his home in Northridge, California on February 29, 2016. Born in Middleton, Ohio, he moved to California and graduated from Van Nuys High School, served in the US Coast Guard, graduated from CSUN and taught in the LAUSD for 28 years where he inspired laughter and fond memories for students and staff. A self styled "Bon Vivant" he enjoyed martinis with his wife Carol, good books, cooking good food and time spent laughing out loud with his family and many friends. He was a superb storyteller and when asked to quiet down only spoke louder. He lived a full and rich life with his beloved wife Carol who passed away in 2013. He is survived by his children Marta Parker Kramer and spouse John, David Parker, Andrew Parker and spouse Nancy, Jenny Parker Rimmer, granddaughters Leslie Tallant, Charlotte Ruse, Olivia Parker, grandson Daniel Rimmer, great-grandchildren Ella & John Tallant, brothers Richard, Patrick and John Connelly, and sisters Paula Reich and Julia Howard. There will be a Memorial Service in his honor on Saturday, April 2nd at 2 PM at Bastian, Perrott, Oswald Mortuary 18728 Parthenia St. Northridge, CA. A Celebration of Life will follow the service.
