Dear Martha, Brian and families,
On this first Anniversary of Johnny’s passing to Heaven, I want you to know we still think of him with love. We pray for you both individually and remember you all in our daily prayers.
Thank you again Martha, for sending the photos and all of our Grandpa Paul. I have shared them with my siblings. They mean so much to me. 
God bless you both, and your families. Johnny and Nancy continue to be remembered in our hearts with much love.

Johnny was a very kind cousin who would often take the time to check on his cousins with a call or a Christmas card.  He loved his family dearly and Martha was a wonderful wife and mother.  Despite all of his health issues he made the most of every day.  He was loved and will be missed.❤️🙏🏻

Dear Martha and family, and Brian and family,
Today Johnny will be laid to rest. He was the oldest cousin in his family (Ashcraft) and I the oldest in our family (Seitz). Johnny was such a good man; gentle and kind. I was a freshman in college when he was serving in Vietnam in the Army. I remember writing letters to him. My husband, Damon and I and our children Rebecca and Josh lived in many states so I wasn’t able to see Johnny very often these past years. I was however able to see him at both my Dad’s (Greg) 2000, and my Mom’s (Marilyn) 2014 funerals. In fact, when my Dad was on Hospice, Johnny, his wife Martha, and his parents (my Aunt Adeline and Uncle Harry) came to visit. My Dad and Johnny’s Mom were brother and sister.  One of the first things Johnny said to my dad was, “Hi, Godfather.” I had not realized until then that Johnny had been baptized as an infant. I was so glad to hear this.
After Damon and I moved to Tennessee several years ago Johnny would call me at least once a month just to see how I was. He never complained about his medical problems although I knew some of what he was going through. I am very grateful I was able to talk with both he and Martha the Friday before he passed away on Sunday. He was very clear minded and I was able to encourage and pray with him. Our last words to each other were, “I love you.” Even though I am unable to attend Johnny’s Memorial Service today, my prayers and heart are with his family. He loved his wife, Martha, his children and grandchildren, and his brother, Brian. I have the assurance that Johnny is in heaven with no more pain or discomfort. He is in the presence of God now listening to the angels sing.

I love you grandpa. May you rest in peace. We will always love and remember you in our hearts. 🖤🕊
