

Judith Alfonso Chang, 62. After a year battling pancreatic cancer our warrior entered into eternal rest on October 22nd, 2014 at her residence in Granada Hills, CA surrounded by her loved ones. She was born November 3rd, 1951 to Carlos Alfonso and Mery Chang in Guatemala.
She graduated in 1971 as an accountant, shortly after she migrated to Costa Rica with her family where she met the father of her kids, Juan Ricart. Their love was blessed in 1974 with their first son. In 1975 the couple and their son moved to El Salvador and a year later they were blessed again with their youngest son. In 1989 Judith and her family returned to Costa Rica, where she started her own business and decided to go back to school. She was an entrepreneur, taking care of her business, her kids and studying psychology. She got her BA as a psychologist in 1993. In 1998 she migrated to California, where she resided until God called her to be by his side.
Judith is survived by her companion, Juan Ricart; along with her older son Juan and Karoll with their children Juan Pablo and Jazmin; and her younger son Jorge and Denyss and his son Albert.
A mass will be held on Saturday, November 1st, 2014 at 10:30 am with Father Austin Doran at Mission Hills Catholic Mortuary, located at 11160 Stranwood Avenue, Mission Hills, CA 91345 (818) 361-7387. Right after the mass the family will be greeting friends until 2pm (same location).
