AnnaMae "Anna" Morrissette

She was born in Norwich, CT on Feb. 21, 1938 to the late Charles and Annie (Mekoolich) Casey. After graduating from NFA in 1957, she married her beloved husband, William Morrissette, in 1958. He predeceased her.

Anna enjoyed crocheting, and loved all animals, especially her cat “Pumpkin”. She was an avid fan of the UCONN Women’s Basketball team and the Boston Red Sox. Anna worked for many years as an Intermediate Chef at the Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, CT. She was a very spiritual person and enjoyed telling stories of her childhood. She will be sadly missed by many.

She is survived by her sons; William P. Morrissette Jr., Daniel J. Morrissette, daughters; Cheryl Cove and son-law Stuart Cove of Fort Lauderdale, FL, Lisa F. Morrissette, one brother; Joseph Nenna, sisters; Susan Nenna Green, Frances Robbins, and Margaret Martin, five grandchildren; Brian and Rachael Bombria, Aaron and Alexander Cove, Joshua Forrest, one great-grandchild, Lea Bombria and several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, at 10:30am at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 67 W. Town St., Lebanon, CT with burial immediately following at New Lebanon Cemetery, Waterman Rd., Lebanon, CT. Visitation is Wednesday from 4pm-7pm at Labenski Funeral Home, 107 Boswell Ave., Norwich, CT.
