

She was born in Norwich on April 29, 1924 to the late John Gilbert and Josephine Augusta Kyle. She was a member of Saint James Episcopal Church where she taught pre-school for ten years and was a member of the Eastern Star. Additionally she enjoyed knitting, crocheting, cross stitch, reading and doing crossword puzzles.
Mrs. Yonts is survived by her husband Lee Yonts of 59 years; three sons, Thomas (Jo) Hamilton, South Carolina; Charles Hamilton, deceased and Ronald (Lorraine) Yonts, Griswold. Three daughters: Deirdre (Jim) Becker, Uncasville; Katherine (Sidney) Crouch, South Carolina; and Kim Coscia, Florida. Eight grandchildren, Christopher (Kimberly) Fry of Bristol, Lee (Megan) Crouch of South Carolina, Brandon (Joann) Crouch of South Carolina, Lance (Britney) Crouch of South Carolina, Jennifer (Steve) Crook of Canterbury, Elizabeth Yonts of Griswold, Taylor Coscia of Florida, Bronson Coscia of Florida and ten great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by two sisters; Lillian Hamilton, and Margaret Brinkman.
Mom was a woman who loved her family, life, friends, and was a keeper of orphaned pets.
Memorial donations may be made to either the American Heart or American Cancer Society.
