Cheryl Marie Lambertson passed away peacefully on May 9, 2024, at the age of 75. Born on September 24, 1948, Cheryl's life was marked by her sharp wit, intelligence, and a spirited nature that brought joy and laughter to all who knew her.
Cheryl's journey began as the big sister to her two brothers, Ron Demers of Branford, CT, and Richard Demers, along with his wife Marty of Darien, CT. Her family grew to include her loving daughters, Cherie Dascomb, and her husband Jerry, Penny McComiskey and her husband Brian. Cheryl's legacy continued through her seven granddaughters, Lauren Brissette, Siana Dascomb, Cassy Dascomb, Jeanette Dascomb, Kaitlynne Loucraft, Chrystal Canova, and Julia Dascomb, as well as her grandsons, Jacob and Aden McComiskey. She was also the proud great-grandmother to four great-grandchildren. Cheryl was predeceased by her husband, George, her granddaughter, Jenna, and her daughter, Penny.
Cheryl's life was characterized by her dedication to her family. As a stay-at-home mom for the first several years, she poured her heart into raising her children and later took on the role of a bookkeeper, showcasing her meticulous nature and knack for numbers. An avid reader, Cheryl could often be found with a book in hand, lost in the pages of her latest literary adventure. Her love for animals was evident to all, with her warm and caring nature extending to all creatures, great and small. Cheryl's enthusiasm for local fairs was infectious, and she took every opportunity to explore the sights, sounds, and tastes that each event had to offer.
Cheryl's sense of humor, quick and sharp wit were some of her most memorable traits. Her intelligence was equally notable. Cheryl's spirit was indomitable, and she faced life's challenges with grace and resilience, inspiring those who knew her to do the same. As we remember Cheryl, we celebrate the impact she had on our lives. Her laughter, wisdom, and love will be deeply missed. Her family and friends take comfort in knowing that her legacy lives on in the stories retold, through the values she instilled in her loved ones and the countless memories they shared, the lessons she taught, and the love she gave.
