He was born in Norwich, CT on Nov. 9, 1930 to the late Raymond and Ethel (Miller) Krug. While he had his beginnings on the family farm in Preston, Dave ventured to Florida where he worked for 26 years as a Project Manager for the Florida D.O.T. retiring in 1998. Dave met his soul mate, Elizabeth (Hamilton) at NFA in 1951. On May 23, 1967, they were married in Homestead, FL.
After retiring from the D.O.T. in Florida he returned to the family farm, a true love of his. Dave was a calf roper, raised Black Angus cattle and horses and just truly embraced the farmer’s life. He served his community on the Preston Wetlands Commission. For fun he would ride his Indian motorcycle, and shoot skeet & trap where he was a member at the Fin, Fur & Feather Club in Chaplin, CT. He enjoyed hunting and fishing but his greatest joy was spending time with family at the farm.
David is survived by his wife Elizabeth, sons; Larry Krug and his wife Marilyn, Lance Krug and his wife Debra, Larry Cedio and his wife Dixie, five (5) grandchildren; Michelle, Jonathan, Marie, David and Forrestt Krug and countless good friends. He was predeceased by his daughter; Tracey Cedio and sister and brother-in-law; Natalie and C.J. Tuckfield.
