Edward Paul Lunt

Norwich-Edward Paul Lunt, of Norwich passed away at William W. Backus Hospital on July 29, 2016. He was born in Old Orchard Beach, Maine to Paul Lunt and the late Agnes (Merchant) Lunt on April 26, 1947. He married his loving wife Mary (Baillargeon) Lunt on August 1, 1975 in Norwich. She survives him.

Edward worked as a parts manager for an automotive dealership. He also worked part time for the Montville Parks and Recreation Department and was a member of the American Legion.

Besides his wife he is survived by a daughter Lori Rothe and her wife Candice Rothe of Southbury, a daughter Tina Viera and her husband Joe of Waterford, a daughter Rebecca Kendrick and her husband Kyle of Maryland, and a daughter Mary Beth Dip and her husband Yamil of Norwich. He also leaves behind grandchildren Brandon and Andrew Lukaszewski, Yamil, Navaro and Johan Dip, and Olivia and Kole Kendrick as well as many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by brothers David, Paul and Jeffrey Lunt.

Family and friends may visit Labenski Funeral Home, 107 Boswell Ave, Norwich on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8. A funeral home service will be held on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. Donation may be made in Edward’s honor to the American Cancer Society.
