Elaine Fleming

Elaine was born in Danielson, CT on Nov. 20, 1928 to the late Napoleon and Corrine (Simoneau) Lagassey. After graduating from high school, Elaine was married to Carl Fleming on June 2, 1948. He survives her.

Elaine worked as a Psychiatric Aide at the former Norwich State Hospital until her retirement. She enjoyed knitting, crafting, and the casino. Her best times were always had when she was with family.

Besides her husband, she is also survived by her daughters; Linda Peck and husband Arthur, Annette Stockwell and husband Daniel, son; William Fleming III and wife Elizabeth, once sister; Elizabeth Bessette, 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter; Janet Lamphear and a sister; Rita Irons.

Visitation is Tuesday, Dec 20th from 5:30pm – 8pm at Church & Allen Funeral Home, 136 Sachem St., Norwich, CT. A Memorial Service will be held during visitation. Burial will be private.
