Norwich-Guy Morten Clausen Jr., age 58, of Norwich, passed away unexpectedly on June 24, 2014. He was born on April 28, 1956 in Groton to the late Guy and Irene (Bacttene) Clausen Sr. He married Patricia (Russo) Clausen on June 9, 1990 in Norwich. She survives him.
Guy graduated from Stonington High School (1974) and worked as a route salesman in the food & beverage industry for over 30 years. He was employed at Frito Lay / Pepsico in Norwich. He also worked for Drakes / Hostess for over 20 years. For all those who knew him, he will always be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. Guy was a hard-working, caring person with a remarkable sense of humor who taught us all to “focus on the positive” in life. Guy enjoyed gardening, fishing and hunting in his leisure time. He was an avid baseball fan and was committed to attending every sporting event for his grandsons that he possibly could. He also loved to travel with his family, especially to Aruba. There are so many happy memories that his family (including their dog, Toby) will cherish forever.
Besides his loving wife he is survived by a son Guy M.
