Helen Partricia Alexander

Helen has spent her life as a devoted wife and mother. A seamstress by trade she worked at Mohegan Sun from 2001 till her retirement in 2011. After retirement she spent her days helping with her grandchildren and family. She loved to crochet and other crafts. She would make gifts for anyone who asked, baby blankets, booties, throws or stuff animals. We all have something she made for us. Bingo was another of her favorite pastimes. Whether it was going to Foxwoods with her friend and daughter’s mother in-law Star or calling the numbers at her apartment complex, Elisha Brook in Franklin.

She is survived by her two daughters. Heather Makara and her husband Jason Makara of Windham, CT, and Ashley Alexander of Moosup CT. Four Grandchildren Patrick Aldrich of Moosup and Abbie, Jaden & Emily Makara, of Windham. Three stepsons Joe, Todd, and Brad Alexander. Two Sisters Elizabeth Jusczak of Pelham NH and Ann Quinlan of North Redding MA. As well as many nieces and nephews, in law family and all of her “adopted” friends of her girls.

She is preceded by the love of her life Larry Alexander as well as her 6 brothers Joseph, James Arthur, John Edward, William, Robert and Paul Conway.

A Celebration of life will be set up in the next few weeks at the family discretion. She will be laid in her final resting place at East Cemetery in Williston VT with Larry.
