So sorry to hear of Jim's passing. May you find comfort in your faith in our Lord and Savior. He was a good person and a hard working man, who loved his family very much.

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of my friend Jim. I have such fond memories of the years we taught together at KMS. We would walk together when we could. Ill never forget the year he bought me a subscription to my favorite magazine and I bought him ear warner's for our daily walks. The thing ill remember most is that I was in his room on 9/11. Rest in peace my friend-you will be greatly missed!

My deepest condolences to the family. I have the best memories of him as a teacher. He inspired my interest in Social Studies, with current events & stories of his past. When I would go visit Kelly to see my past teachers Mr. Congdon was always a priority & he always remember, me even years later. He is with peace now.

Jim was a good friend,  the best father-in-law a man could ever ask for.  His love and passion for his family was boundless, his energy and charisma was contagious.  His love and servitude of his country was known by all that met him.

Mary,  Theresa,  Denise,  Jim,  and Ali --- my heart is with you all as we remember today the husband,  the father,  and grandfather that has blessed our lives.  

He will always be with us in our hearts,  and we can rejoice that he holds the nail-scarred hand of our Savior.

Mr. Congdon holds a special place as one of the most passionate teachers I had the pleasure of learning from. He always knew how to interest his students in the topics we would discuss. I'll always remember Mr. Congdon as my 7th grade history teacher at Kelly Middle School. He was a kind and funny person that always helped me in times of trouble. I'll remember him for his service in Vietnam and his bravery during that war. He will be remembered in my heart and mind as a teacher and war hero. Mr. Congdon was the coolest social studies teacher I had at Kelly M. School. He was also funny and made learning fun. Til this day I enjoy social studies in high school. I'm sorry for your loss.

I had Mr. Congdon as a 7th grade history teacher. As many of his students will say, he was one of the best, most influential, teachers. I remember specifically being able to give him any combination of coordinates (latitude/longitude) and he was able to tell us exactly what point on the globe it was. Anyways, rest in peace Mr. Congdon you will be missed.

Mr. Congdon never directly taught me, but affected my life more than I could ever describe.  I had the pleasure of being taught by his wife, but he is part of the reason I became a social studies teacher.  Years after my middle school experience was over, and I was in college, I was able to go back and intern under Mr. Congdon.  He taught me so many valuable lessons when it came to education, especially his passion for the subject and the gusto with which he taught... and today as I was teaching my 8th grade social studies class, I shed a tear as I learned of his passing and was able to share so many stories with my own students whom I can only hope to influence and change their lives as Mr. Congdon had done for his own.  You will be greatly missed and always appreciated.

Congdon Family, so sorry for this loss, Jim was one of my children's favorite teachers, many memories, especially camping at Salt Rock in all his fishing gear fishing with a kids pink pole.  Thoughts and prayers with you all.

I knew Mr.Congdon, growing up, as well as his family. He was caring, funny and just all around, an amazing man! Not only as a teacher, but someone to learn and love from. My heart hurts today for you and the kids...My childhood would not have been the same without his love and guidance.  The values he instilled in me in the many years at St. Stephens I now share with my own two kids.  I am a better parent because of the love that you both gave me unconditionally. The friendship you both shared with my mom will forvever whole a special place in my heart.
