Jeffrene M Benoit

A graduate of Norwich Free Academy, Jeffrene studied fashion design at Eastern Connecticut State University where she honed her considerable artistic talent.

She was a talented cuisinier and had a long career as a dietary aide, employed in patient care and private education settings. She loved music, particularly Motley Crue and the Rolling Stones. She also had a lifelong love of animals, both pets and in the wild.

Jeffrene traveled in her lifetime, mostly to visit and spend time with family. She enjoyed family pool parties and spending time at the beach.

She will be remembered for her smile and exuberant laughter, not to mention an unmatched talent for wrapping gifts.

Jeffrene was predeceased by her parents, Edward and Lorraine (Kowalewski) Nowakowski; grandparents Peter and Jadwiga Kowalewski; and nephew Zachary Nowakowski.

She is survived by her partner, Joseph Strong and his mother, Marie; brother Edward Nowakowski (Christy); godmother and cousin Kristina Zuba; cousin Regina Zuba; goddaughter and cousin Lisa Kowalewski; aunt Elaine Kowalewski; and several other cousins.

A Celebration of Life and burial will be held in the Spring.
