Joseph Roger R Thibault

He was born in Providence, RI on December 1, 1938 to the late Adeoda and Gisele (Chabot) Thibault. After completing school he joined the Army. After his discharge he worked as a painting contractor in the construction industry before becoming a janitor for Foxwoods Resort in Mashantucket, CT.

In October of 1979 he married Joanne (Merchant) in Moosup, CT. She predeceased him on January 14, 2008.

“Roger” as he was more commonly known, enjoyed bowling and would partake in it frequently. He was a member of the Silver Star A.C., enjoyed following the New York Yankees and loved his grandchildren.

He is survived by his children; Joseph, Kenneth and Barbara, brothers; Dennis, Norman, George, Lawrence, and Ernest, sisters; Pauline Cardi, Marie Irene Parker, step-children; Armand “Ozzy” Jean, Nancy Durocher, Stanley Clark, and several grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, wife, brothers; Maurice and Philip (Henry), sisters; Adrienne Marcinko, Marie Jean Cusson, and step-son; Joseph Jean Jr.

Memorial services will be held on Tuesday at 2pm at St. James Episcopal Church, 95 RTE 2A, Preston, CT. There are no calling hours and burial is private at the convenience of the family.
